About Amy Beisel, Certified Executive Coach

Green leaf

Like you, I want to make a positive impact on the world through research and publishing.

My 20-year career has taken many turns — from non-profits and higher education to public and private companies — in leadership roles spanning operations and business development to product strategy and mergers & acquisitions.

In every role, I’ve wanted to do more, give more, and be more — to increase my impact on organizations that play a crucial role in disseminating research around the world.

Fortunately, I’ve had many great managers and mentors who supported my aspirations and provided guidance, feedback, and leadership opportunities for me to lean into.

Many research and publishing professionals are dedicated, ambitious, and hard-working — eager to grow as leaders and increase their impact. They may lack the clarity, support, or resources at work to achieve their full potential.

If this sounds familiar, let’s connect! I’d love to help you and your team develop the critical skills, competencies, and behaviors to reach your professional goals and increase your impact on the world.

Who I work with

Directors and Managers

You’ve developed a new organizational strategy, but your team is struggling to execute on it. So far, all you have to show for your time and investment is a PowerPoint deck….

You’re not sure if your team has the right people and skill-sets to deliver the results you need. Alignment is a constant challenge. You’re uncertain how to engage people working remotely. And your team would make progress on priorities if they weren’t constantly putting out fires!

I’ve been there — and have helped other research and publishing leaders identify underlying issues, develop concrete solutions, and make meaningful changes within their teams. Contact me to discuss how.

Rising Leaders

You’re hard-working and good at your job … but your career isn’t advancing the way you hoped.

You want to make a bigger impact and take on more responsibilities. You want to grow and challenge yourself. You want to lead teams with more skill and confidence. You want to be recognized and promoted for your contributions. You want to make a difference.

Coaching can help! We’ll work on the behaviors, skills, and mindsets that matter most for your career growth in research and publishing. Contact me to discuss how.

Entrepreneurs

You’ve gotten this far on your own — but you’re not sure about your next move. Launch a new product? Enter a new market? Partner with a publisher? Acquire a company? Sell your company? So many possibilities, so little clarity.

I’ve worked with founders of publishing services companies who were grappling with the same issues and helped them find clarity. And I’ve advised companies — both buyers and sellers — through the ups and downs of mergers & acquisitions to reach successful outcomes. Contact me to discuss your way forward.

Amy is a wonderful coach who asked the right questions to help move my career forward. I’m amazed at how far I’ve come in just a few sessions – she always made sure my objectives were clear, my questions answered and that our time together was useful.”

How does coaching work?

Unique as you are: You decide the goals you want to work toward and what’s most important for each session. I conduct assessments, ask tailored questions, share resources, and provide exercises to move you forward.

Real results: Using validated assessment tools, we identify the areas that are most important for you to develop to achieve your goals. We pinpoint specific ways for you to make progress week after week. In every session you’ll commit to taking concrete actions, and I’ll keep you accountable to making progress.

Support, the way you want it: One-on-one coaching, team sessions, assessments, strategy review, meeting facilitation — I’ve got you covered. Video conferences, phone calls, in-person meetings — I’m there. You can reach me between sessions for additional ideas, feedback, and accountability, too.

Ready to grow?

You bring the commitment, energy, and motivation.

I bring the resources, perspective, and accountability.

Together, we’ll achieve your goals.

In just 15 minutes, you can start the next chapter of your research and publishing career.

It’s as simple as booking an appointment.
